Kaleidoscope

An imaginative mix of three works from renowned and emerging choreographic talents will surprise and inspire, revealing the playful yet spirited side of dance. Mark Morris will explore the relationship between music and movement in the rhythmic, dynamic, and lighthearted Sandpaper Ballet; accomplished dancer and freelance choreographer Garrett Smith, acclaimed for his energizing new works, will produce A World Premiere; and Company dancer Sergio Masero will once again mesmerize audiences with his choreographic flair and neoclassical style.

Querencia (A World Premiere) by Sergio Masero

Described by ArtsATL as “a beautiful musical dance maker,” Company dancer Sergio Masero will build on his acclaimed neoclassical creations with Atlanta Ballet - Taneo Integrum (Silver Linings) in 2021 and Schubertiada (Strike Your Fancy) in 2022 – to bring another all-new production to the Atlanta stage.

Sandpaper Ballet by Mark Morris

A rhythmic, playful ballet to lift the spirits, Sandpaper Ballet will delight audiences with its flawless balance of music and movement. The entertainingly fresh and celebratory melodies combine with inventive, dynamic, and precise choreographic gestures, making for a riveting visual and acoustic experience.

Corridors (A World Premiere) by Garrett Smith

At the forefront of the choreographic scene with Vitacca Ballet’s Somewhat Closer, Norwegian National Ballet’s Imitations and Netflix’s Tiny Pretty Things, accomplished dancer and freelance choreographer Garrett Smith will inspire with his innovative and artistic brilliance in A World Premiere.
